About The Role:
To provide support, advice, implementation, and expertise to ensure that clients’ plans and arrangements for project quality and quality management are implemented and are effective. To support and deliver against the Client’s project strategic imperatives, WMS, IMF, Project Quality Management Plan and Operational needs. It helps to realise project deliverables and maximise effectiveness and performance. The position also exists to ensure that regulatory obligations for effective QA in projects are fulfilled as part of a team of deployed ‘Quality Management’ personnel. For this role, particular emphasis is given to Vendor, Site surveillance and project verification activities.
Requirements:
- 7-10 years of Experience Oil & Gas topsides or onshore experience,
- Package and Vendor inspection management experience
QHSE:
- Adequate, risk-based Quality Management & Assurance arrangements are implemented.
- Process safety knowledge and understanding of how quality impacts safe operation are essential.
- Product nonconformity is minimised.
- Transactional quality assurance activities as per project plans, processes and procedures are implemented effectively and efficiently.
Leadership:
- Engage stakeholders on matters relating to quality
- Support and influence an appropriate Quality Culture within the client site.
Work Processes & Systems:
- Project work is completed under the Client Management System/OMF
- The Project Quality Management Plan provides further direction pertaining to the project quality execution
- Provide effective quality input to enable predictable outcomes around deliverables and interfaces
- Work with the primary contractor to fully understand quality requirements to provide a service/product that ultimately meets or exceeds project expectations
Excellence:
- Achieve and report satisfactory results and predictable outcomes from planned activities.
- Participate in an effective Quality Management service to Pluto Train 1 and related work scopes.
- Support and participate in quality management initiatives and deliverables on time and within budget.
Technical:
- Ensure appropriately independent levels of effective quality management, quality surveillance, inspection, validation, and verification to provide assurance.
- Ensure definition, planning and coordination of quality-related activities,
- Support effective management of audit and review program, undertake quality audits as directed,
- Champion and support the Startup Excellence program,
- Manage and monitor 2nd party activities to effectively implement the Vendor Surveillance Program,
- Review received inspection reports,
- Participate in, champion and maintain the project verification application,
- Maintain, improve and implement the Quality Management elements of WMS (including processes and procedures)
Skills & Experience:
The role requires a demonstrable aptitude for quality and quality management and quality management discipline experience in the oil & gas industry. Developing towards a Mastery level for at least 50% of the ‘Q’ Competency Framework is desirable, and at least a Skilled level for the remainder. Base technical skills with detailed requirements include;
- International Certificated (IRCA) Lead Auditor Training course current (or past will be considered).
- Knowledge of supplier quality management (oil & gas sector) and vendor inspection coordination.
- Demonstrable knowledge of operations quality and risk.
- Demonstrable knowledge of supplier risk & risk management in the context of quality.
- The ability to travel domestically & internationally is required.
- The ability to promote collaboration relationships is essential.
