We are seeking highly skilled Electrical/Offshore Inspectors for Substation & HVAC/HVDC Cable projects in the North Sea. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing inspections, quality control, and commissioning tasks for substation and cable installations. This position requires offshore work, and candidates must meet specific certification and training requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct electrical inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during the installation and commissioning of HVAC/HVDC cables and substations.
- Perform detailed inspections and assessments of cable systems, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to monitor and support cable installation activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications.
- Participate in commissioning activities, troubleshooting, and testing of systems.
- Complete all required reports and documentation in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Actively participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and daily briefings to ensure the safety of the team.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers to ensure all tasks are completed as per the project plan.
Qualifications & Certifications:
- BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training)
- HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training)
- CA-EBS Training (Compressed Air Emergency Breathing System Training)
- Medical Suitability Examination (offshore medical examination)
- First Aid Base Course and Refresher Course (every 2 years)
- Confirmation of Annual Safety Training (offshore and for the respective activity)
- Sharing of Personal Information (date of birth, nationality, ID number, document expiry)
- Self-evaluation of Fitness and Health (immediately before offshore deployment)

Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in electrical inspections, specifically for HVAC/HVDC cables and substations.
- Strong understanding of offshore safety regulations and electrical standards.
- Ability to work in a challenging offshore environment with limited resources.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to identify potential hazards and risks and take proactive measures to prevent accidents.
- A strong focus on health and safety, with an understanding of emergency response procedures.

- Offshore work requires a commitment to safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Candidates must be physically fit and able to meet the demands of offshore work.
- Flexibility to work in a rotating shift pattern (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off).
- Ongoing training and certification may be required to maintain compliance with industry standards.
