About the Role:
The Electrical Inspector will inspect electrical installations and equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, specifically focusing on ATEX (Atmosphères Explosibles) directives. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and safety standards and the ability to identify potential hazards in explosive atmospheres.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations and equipment in hazardous areas.
- make sure compliance with ATEX regulations and other relevant standards.
- Identify and report non-conformities, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and safety teams to develop risk assessments and safety protocols.
- maintain accurate records of inspections, findings, and recommendations.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on electrical safety and ATEX compliance.
- Stay updated on changes to electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Participate in safety audits and inspections as required.
Qualifications:
- ATEX Certification is required.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in electrical inspection, particularly in hazardous environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, including IEC and national regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
